IVNA
Today, IVNA is the oldest freestanding not-for-profit home health agency in Central Virginia. It is the only home care agency in the state providing solely charity care for the underinsured. Since 1900, we have been “opening doors to better health” everyday within our community by providing high-quality, compassionate care to those we serve.
Our Mission:
IVNA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization united behind the mission to provide high quality compassionate home health care, case management, and advocacy for persons in need.
Our Goal:
IVNA assures the highest quality home health care is delivered to more persons in need at a lower cost thereby providing conscientious stewardship of the communities charitable dollars.
Financial support from individuals, corporations and foundations allows the IVNA to provide health care services each and every day to those in need within our community. Your gift enables the most vulnerable of Richmond residents to receive quality accessible home health visits that may well save lives. Our patients have no other resources to aid in their management of chronic diseases, injuries and other health related issues. If left unattended, these health issues most often lead to extensive hospital stays and loss of independence. Your support assures quality care for those in need.
Please join us in Opening Doors to Better Health and to make a difference within your community! If you would like to learn more about IVNA or make a gift; please contact Jim Beckner, #804-355-7100 ext. 247 or jbeckner@ivna.org.
Contributions:
All monetary gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Your gift will help to provide the necessary home health care services to those in need within our community.
Monetary gifts can be given in cash, a gift of securities or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Gifts may be given in memory or in honor of someone.
Request a Speaker:
Looking for an engaging, informative speaker for your civic or church group? IVNA’s has speakers available to talk to your group about senior services, home safety issues, the importance of vaccinations, flu prevention to name just a few topics. Speakers are provided as a public awareness and educational service. If interested in securing a speaker for your next meeting, please contact Jim Beckner, #804-355-7100 ext. 247 or jbeckner@ivna.org.
Volunteer Opportunities:
In 1900, a small group of nurses from Old Dominion Hospital (now MCV/VCU hospital) volunteered their time to look after the poor and sick of Richmond: they surely never imagined their selflessness would begin a movement. Over a hundred years later, volunteers continue to be a very important part of the agency. Volunteers can designate their own hours and the frequency of their visits.
For more information about the giving of your time, talent or teasure, please contact Jim Beckner, #804-355-7100 ext. 247 or jbeckner@ivna.org.
